I was thinking of getting a Blackmagic DeckLink Duo 2 with a StarTech Thunderbolt to PCIe chassis. The problem I have is syncing all my video sources together (meaning: starting multiple clips at exactly the same time) so I thought a possible solution would be to use Avenue-7 on my macbook pro (2019 intel) for playing back 4 clips at the same time and sending out to the various switcher / hardware inputs for processing in real time (the inputs I have are either SDI or converted to analog from SDI with my existing setup, and I work at 720 x 576) Wire is a modular node-based patching environment to create effects, mixers and video generators for Resolume Arena & Avenue.
